All employees newly electing or currently enrolled in health coverage will receive a new ID card for 1/1/24 which will include your prescription drug coverage. With this change, employees will not have physical ID cards in hand by 1/1/24. It is our recommendation to try and fill any necessary scripts by 12/31/23 to allow time for your information to populate in the Highmark system. Additionally, we advise employees to register on the Highmark BCBS of WNY website https://www.highmark.com/member/bcbswny.html or download the My Highmark App to get access to your ID card before it arrives via mail. The My Highmark app can be downloaded via the app store on iOS or Android devices or you can access by going to the My Highmark app or MyHighmark.com – Members already registered with Highmark can easily login using their existing credentials.

Changes for 2024:
Your current Health Insurance card will work until you receive your New Highmark of WNY ID card which will now include your prescription drugs all on one ID Card. These new ID cards will be generated and sent out to your home address in the beginning of January.

 

• We will be changing our inpatient hospital stays from $750 to $1,000 per admission (Keep in mind, Tri City Rentals will continue to reimburse all but $250 of your $1,000 inpatient hospital stay).

 

• Currently, your separate prescription drug card is with Express Scripts. As noted above, this will now be integrated with your Highmark of WNY card allowing you to have one ID card for both Health and Prescription Drug Coverage.

 

• Lastly, we have moved from 2 tier rating (Single & Family) to 3 tier rating (Single, Employee + One, Family). This change will help employees with a spouse or 1-child save on healthcare cost.

2024 Open Enrollment
If you wish to make no changes to your health, there is no action required.
Tri City Rentals Open Enrollment period will start December 15, 2023 and end on December 22, 2023. All changes must be completed and received in the Human Resources department by Friday – December 22, 2023 at 1:00 p.m.

During the open enrollment period, employees may enroll if eligible per hire agreement, add dependents or cancel health insurance.

Our Broker, Lawley Insurance, has created a customized portal to house all benefits-related information and communications for current and new employees – before, during, and after open enrollment.
